Referees see the game in real time, so sometimes they miss calls or just don’t see it at a full angle. It’s not always their fault, they are watching 10 players while 5 of them are trying to use little tricks to outsmart the other 5 players. You’re just not going to catch everything. Basketball players don’t even catch everything and we have 4 teammates with us. Some players are capable of pulling off passes and no one is around the player who catches the pass. We all get tricked by the no-look pass, we get the ball stolen from us by players who we did not see coming, we get picks set on us by players we did not see coming to set the pick. As players, we miss things in a game and that’s normal. If you and your 4 teammates are having trouble, imagine the trouble the referee is having watching 10 players play chess.
